महफ़िल में चल रही थी मेरे कत्ल की तैयारी,
हमे देख कर बोले बहुत लम्बी उम्र है तुम्हारी।
चाहे कितनी भी मुसीबत आये जिंदगी में, मैं गर्व से फूल जाता हूँ।
और जब हँसती है मेरी माँ मुझे देख कर, तब मैं सारे गम भूल जाता हूँ।
इस जिंदगी में कहाँ मिलते है समझने वाले,
अक्सर लोग हमे समझा कर चले जाते हैं।
हम तो रोज़ खुद को पड़ते हैं,
और रोज़ छोड़ देते हैं,
हमतो हर रोज़ जिंदगी का एक
पन्ना मोड़ देते हैं।
हमारी खुशियाँ जरा जल्दी में थी इसलिए वो चली गई,
और गम की घड़ी जरा फुर्सत से आया थी इसलिये ठहर गई।
